Football Gym

This is really a concept at the moment, just something I’ve been thinking about for a while after getting a gym membership.

It’s a gym made specially for the needs of footballers (soccer) and would incorporate your normal gym scenario with facilities which are made for footballers.

For example; I was thinking about an indoor, polished wood floor, 3 on 3 football arena with viewing area for a weekly tournament, an outdoor tiger-turf pitch for training and matchplay as well as an indoor open turf area for drills and skills practice, and a free kick gallery for shooters and ‘keepers to practice.

I’m hoping to get some concepts up by the end of this month but we’ll see how that goes.

I have been thinking about this for a while whilst I’m not busy studying and I think I’ve found the perfect location for a hypothetical football gym, check it out here (http://bit.ly/1NAbF) I know that in the picture it is a car yard, but it is perfect for a gym, there is a large open area at the front for the gym itself, with a tall, long extension perfect for a shooting range. Also there is a carpark around the back that could be repurposed as an outdoor pitch for exhibition matches or trainings. There is obviously plenty of parking and the like as well as a brilliant position for advertising and foot-traffic.
